The Baked Brownie

Today we’re celebrating the end of an era: it’s the last recipe in Baked Sunday Mornings! This has been a 10 year journey through four cookbooks, and has been a joy and light in my life. It’s meant so much to me to find this community of bakers who like to nerd out just as much as I do on dessert. It was truly a life highlight to recipe test for Baked Occasions, and go to New York for its launch party and the opening of Baked Tribeca (sadly now closed).

For our very last recipe, we made a classic: The Baked Brownie. This brownie is my go-to, and it’s absolutely perfect. It has the correct brownie texture (that is chewy/fudge-y, not cakey), and deep chocolate flavour. There’s honestly no other brownie recipe you need in your life!

You can find the recipe here!

In total I made 26 recipes from Baked: New Frontiers in Baking as part of Baked Sunday Mornings, plus a handful of other ones over the years on my own. Here are my Top 10 favourites from everything I’ve made:

Believe it or not, there are still many recipes from this book that I missed, so the occasional BSM post might still appear on the blog when I get around to these eight recipes:

  • Baked Bars
  • Butterscotch Pudding Tarts
  • Classic Diner-Style Chocolate Pie
  • Malted Milk Chocolate Sauce
  • Marble Bundt Cake
  • Millionaire’s Shortbread
  • Peanut Butter Crispy Bars
  • Peanut Butter Pie with Cookie Crust

And that’s a wrap! For more Baked Sunday Mornings posts click here!

Or go to the Recipe Index and scroll to the bottom for the entire list of Baked Sunday Morning recipes from the past 10 years!

I cannot believe it’s over. What am I going to do in two weeks?? Your brownie presentation is stunning- so perfect for the last BSM post! :)
